FAQ'S
How are your dogs housed?
All of our dogs are loved members of our family. They live in our home with us and enjoy car rides, fetch, playing in our local pond, going for walks, and lounging on the couch.

What is included in the puppy price?
Our puppies go home at 8 weeks of age. At that time they will have received their first set of vaccinations and will have a current vet examination. They will have received regular wormings and have their microchip. They will come with a folder that includes health records, parent health testing information, and training tips for a new puppy. They will have a bag that includes sample food that they are currently eating, 30 days of free pet insurance through Trupanion, a toy, a blanket with littermate's scent, 1st custom collar, and treats. * Bags may vary based on availability. All puppies come with a 2-year health guarantee and lifetime support from us!

How can I be placed on the waitlist?
We first ask that you fill out an application. We will review your application and follow up within 3-5 business days. After your application is approved we will email you a deposit agreement and once that is received we accept deposits on our website. Please do not send a deposit before receiving our deposit agreement. We require a deposit to be placed on our waitlist. Our waitlist is determined by the order in which we receive deposits. Our deposits are nonrefundable but completely transferable to another litter. Deposits are $250 due at application approval and $250 due when puppies are born. If placing a deposit on a puppy already born, the full deposit of $500 is due upon application approval. All deposits are applied to the final purchase price.

What Forms of Payment Do You Accept?
Deposits can be made securely on our website with the links provided. Please visit our deposit page to submit a deposit. We will not accept a deposit until an application is approved first. Final payments, for anyone paying electronically or by cashier's check, are due by the puppy's 7-week birthday. The only final forms of payment we accept are cash, cashier's check, or Wave App, which we will send an invoice you can pay directly through. If paying through Wave for the final payment, there is a 2.9% processing fee for Visa, Mastercard, or Discover, 3.4% processing fee for American Express or a 1% processing fee for an ACH payment. Cash can be paid when puppies are 8 weeks old during pick up.

Do you allow visitors?
We allow visitors ONLY to our families that are on our current waitlist when puppies are 8 weeks old. This is to ensure the safety of our family as well as our dogs. We do not have a "facility" our dogs are in our family home.

How does the puppy pick process work?
We feel that is very important for families to meet their puppy in person (or over FaceTime) before making a selection. We do not want puppies to be picked based solely on a picture alone. We host "go home day" when puppies are 8 weeks old at our home (or over Facetime for our out-of-state families). This is scheduled usually for the Saturday following the puppies turning 8 weeks old. Families are scheduled an appointment time in order of their deposit where they can come and interact with the puppies, make their selection, and take their puppy home the same day. Before "go home day" we send all deposit list families copies of the puppies' vet checks as well as their individual temperament testing results. We want everyone to have all the information before choosing their puppy. Puppy go-home day is always a fun and special day! *Vandenbark Doodles reserves the first 1-2 spots in every litter to be used at our discretion. We also reserve the right to refund/refuse a puppy if we feel it is in our puppy's best interest. That is always our main concern.

How are your puppies raised?
Our puppies are raised with the Puppy Culture program and the Bad Ass Breeder program.
Our puppies are born in a whelping pen in our bedroom. This is where they stay for the first 2.5- 3 weeks of their life. Once their eyes begin opening and they become more active they are moved to our puppy playroom, which is a designated puppy room in our house. We begin potty training them with a litter box and as they get older we transition them to going outside to use the bathroom. We also begin crate training as well. All of our puppies are raised around our children and we accustom them to the daily activities of an active family.

Do you allow breeding rights?
All of our puppies are sold on a strict spay and neuter contract. We do occasionally allow breeding rights to approved breeders. Breeders we approve will have to pay an additional breeding rights fee, please contact us for the breeding rights fee.

What kind of updates can we expect of our puppy as he/she grows?
Our updates will be a mixture of individual puppy pictures and social media posts. We also send out weekly email updates as well as puppy evaluations when they are completed. We like to keep our families part of the entire process before bringing their puppy home and we know that lots of pictures and videos are important! We stay VERY active on social media and post many videos in our Instagram stories as the puppies grow and learn.
Are your breeding dogs health tested?
YES! That is the most important part of our breeding program. All of our breeding dogs must first pass their health testing before being bred. The health tests we have completed on our breeding dogs are DNA, hips/elbows, cardiac, eyes, and patellas.

Do you ship your puppies?
We have a couple of options for our out-of-state buyers. We can meet you with your puppy at the Denver International Airport and you can fly home with your puppy in the cabin of the plane. We also work with several great flight nannies and ground transporters. The prices vary for these services, so please let us know if that is something you need assistance with. There will be a $125 fee to meet at DIA. In addition, all puppies that fly or cross state borders will be required to have a certified vet certificate which is an additional$50 fee. This is a separate health certificate required by state licensing that only applies to puppies flying/traveling out of state.
